NEW FERTILITY CLINICAL RESEARCH TRIAL
The clinical team at Georgia Reproductive Specialists is currently seeking participants for a clinical trial of
an investigational oral form of fertility treatment. Women 18-40 who have difficulty conceiving related to
irregular menstrual cycles and who have had minimal previous fertility treatment may be candidates. For more information, please email study@ivf.com.
We have joined with Serono to launch a study confirming the efficacy of the
75 IU dose of Luveris® versus placebo to achieve clinical pregnancy in
women with WHO Type I amenorrhea, hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (HH) and
profound luteinizing hormone (LH) deficiency.
"Luveris allows us to precisely tailor LH administration to individual
patient needs, offering greater treatment flexibility," said Mark Perloe,
MD, GRS Medical Director.
GRS is currently recruiting women between 18 and 40 years of age who
have a clinical history of HH amenorrhea who desire pregnancy (failure
to respond to progesterone withdrawal). The patient must have a Body Mass
Index between 18.4 and 31.4 kg/m2 and have no prior treatment cycles with
gonadotropins or GnRH. Potential study patients will undergo hormonal screening
to determine eligibility. The following hormonal values are required for
participation: FSH: <5 IU/L; LH: <1.2 IU/L; Prolactin: <43.3 ng/mL; TSH:
<6.5 mcIU/mL; Free T4: 0.8-1.8 ng/dL; Testosterone: <1.0 ng/mL.
Eligible patients will be randomized to receive 25 IU Luveris, 75 IU
Luveris or placebo. All patients will receive Gonal-F® at the recommended
starting dose of 75-150 IU (adjustable up to 225IU). All study information
will remain confidential and each participant will undergo an initial evaluation
and receive assigned treatment and medication during the study cycles at
no cost. Individuals interested in participating are invited to contact
Tina Vincent at study@ivf.com or 404.843.2229 ext 151.

ReliefInsite.com is a new company that,
for the past four years, has been in the process of developing a secure
web-based Electronic Pain Diary that can be used for monitoring any pain
condition, including pelvic pain. The application consists of a dynamic
body map (with front, back and side views) where you identify the location
of your pain, its intensity and characteristics. In the application, you
also record pain symptoms, medication, treatment, and lifestyle. One of
the key features of the application is found in its Analysis section which
provides graphs, charts, picture frames, a summation of notes, and animated
video-like playback of all the readings you have entered. This information
can be shared with your doctor or other individuals you specify.
If you are interested in being a test user of this application, please
send an e-mail to fred.eberlein@reliefinsite.com.
In your e-mail please include your pain condition, phone number and e-mail
address. All inquiries about ReliefInsite.com must go through Fred Eberlein.
Please do not contact GRS regarding information about this opportunity.
