Are birth control pills usually prescribed to 16 year old girls because there
she is considered a canidate for having endometriosis?

Answer:
Absolutely. If your pain is not controlled after a three month trial of birth
control pills and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent such as ibuprofen or
Aleve, you may wish to consider a laparoscopic test to see if endometriosis is
present.
